This April will see the release of a brand new fighting game starring the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Developed by nWay Games and Lionsgate Games, Battle for the Grid will coincide with the twenty fifth anniversary of the Power Rangers.
While details are sparse, this game will feature online play, cross-play as well as cross-progression between your console or PC of choice. Meaning that if you play on PS4 and make some headway in terms of unlocks and missions, you will not have to start from scratch if you switch over to the XBOX One.
While only four playable characters have been announced so far, including Jason, Tommy and Gia Moran from Power Rangers Super Mega Force, there will be fifteen characters at launch with a season pass available for pre-order touting more characters to be released at a later date over the course of the games first season, heavily implying that there will be more seasons to come, if this game proves successful.
While the release date for Power Rangers Battle for the Grid is little more that the placeholder of “April” you can pre-order this game at the official website to be notified when you can pre-order. Also, the game will hit retail with a price of $19.99, or you can pre-order the digital deluxe edition for $39.99. As of right now, it is unknown if this game will see a physical release.
